Just been looking over the filming thread on the old DWF and saw some lovely spoilers for this years Xmas special.

It's speculated (snippets of overheard dialogue make me think it's a possibility) that this might be a takeoff on the BF audio "The One Doctor," where a guy goes around impersonating the Doctor. The way the costume looks Doctorish but just a little off makes me wonder.

Especially after the eighty-hour "Merry fuckin' Christmas, now WATCH 'EM DIE!" snoozefest that was VotD, I'm really hoping for a Christmas special with some actual humor and fun along with the scary bits. It all looks quite promising, anyway, from the set photos.

Apparently, DM's trailer is labelled 'The Other Doctor'.

And one of the guest actresses, the (fake?) Doctor's fake companion, has a trailer marked "Rosita." I'm kind of hoping this is actually the plot now.

i saw a couple pictures from some site, sort of looking but not because i was afriad of spoilers but, you know, weak. YAH I KNOW I'M LAME. anyway, there were 19th century style posters advertising the opening of The Crystal Palace, so i'm assuming the special takes place in 1851 or so, and thus the fancy waistcoat.

i am obviously hoping that this means there will DINOSAURS in the special.

Are his (DM's) clothes authentically Victorian? I don't know enough about the fashions then to say.
