So I know people’s flists are probably experiencing Harry Potter overload, but soz, I’m about to add to it.
So I saw OOTP last night. And yeah, I loved it! I’ve read some reviews where people weren’t entirely happy about it, but I thought it was excellent. Yes some things were completely different to the book, but I kinda liked that. The fact that it was Cho who, albeit through no fault of her own, became the splitter and told Umbridge about the DA was kinda cool. It gave Harry more emo. And there is nothing wrong the hero being emo. But bless Cho, and no I am not only saying that because I work with her cousin (TRUFAX PPL, TRUFAX).
And what happened to Neville? I’m guessing the fact that the prophecy could have also been about him has absolutely no relevance what so ever. Which makes me sad cos I want him to save the day! I have much Neville love! And also much love for Luna, who was magnificent in the film and much less irritating than she was in the book. Harry/Luna OTP – I think they might just be!
Okay this is fandom so I will mention the stuff I didn’t like.
1. Sirius’s death. If I hadn’t read the book, I might have struggled to believe he was actually dead.
2. Cheesy ending. Enough now please! It was ok when they were all kids and the films weren’t that dark but now it just seems a little shoe-horned in. It’s like they remembered that it’s for kids and families so they better put a cheesy moment in.
But yeah, overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I want to re-read the book like, now. But I heard that there might be a new book out this weekend so I might put it off . . . .
Edit: Ooh ooh, much love for little ginger kid!
Can I has a Grawp pls? Kthnxbai!
