I know a few of you on my flist may struggle to re-watch Last of the Timelords when you get your s3 boxset.

Well, my advice to you is this. Simply re-watch it with the commentary on and it will totally unharsh your squee.

ETA: Sorry folks with the Region 1 boxsets. Apparently, this does not apply :(

Spoil me? Pls?

(I'm getting it for my birthday, which is lovely, but means I won't be getting it for another three weeks.)

LJ probably needs spoiler tags . . . .

It's just hilarious. They spend a lot of time laughing at each other. When I say laughing, I mean proper belly laughing - cackling practically.

They all take the piss out of each other, and it just sounds like they had so much fun making it.

The only specific I can remember at the moment (it's really early!) is David's version of Martha's theme. Murray Gold is shaking in his boots.

LMAO! That is great.

By the way the US DVD I have heard has different commentary.

yeah it has the podcast one...and with the US$ needing about $2.20 to = £1...I just can't do a second box set at the moment...even if I have a multi region dvd player...

Oh that is on my list of 'what to watch next!' I have only poured over all the extras...several times in the video diaries case...he's half nekkid and talking about jumping into the shower...*dies a little inside*

So have you got the US one then? And it has the same commentary?

Mine says with John and Freema in the little booklet...haven't had a chance to pop it in yet. I noticed that the commentaries were different then the ones on iTunes when the series came out, so I got all happy.

According to a post I've just read on [livejournal.com profile] doctorwho, the booklet says that but it's actually the same as the podcast :(

I've just looked at my little booklet and it says that that ep only has Freema and Barrowman doing it.

Jesus, they really cocked that up didn't they?

Isn't this commentary only on the UK DVD's? Cause I've seen some people say they weren't on their dvd's and they were the one's from the BBC website.

They really are. Another of my favourites is the Moffat/Barrowman/Houghton one on S1. That makes me lol every time.

Ohh - I'm really looking forward to this one (it's David, Freema and John, isn't it?). There are parts of LotTL that I'm not wild about, but the commentary with the three of them must be brilliant.

Oh why has my set still not arrived yet! *kicks postal service once more :-)*
