Martha Jones Fucking Pwns

I'm bored of all this shit, I'm having a Martha Jones Is Great Picspam.
This is done episode by episode and not just a general Martha love-in.
Smith & Jones

"We might Die."
"We might not."
In this moment she passes the companion test with flying colours. No further questions needed. Not only does she prove how brave she is, she shows she is not in awe of the Doctor is a quite capable match for him.
The Shakespeare Code

"I name thee, Carrionite."
Ok, so she totally failed, but I love this moment. I don't think it gets mentioned enough when discussing the awesomness that is Martha Jones. She is getting involved. No point in travelling in Time and Space and taking a backseat. She learns fast does this one.
Gridlock

I DIDN'T SAY I WASN'T GOING TO BE PREDICTABLE.
So, err, yeah. I couldn't really go with anything else could I. She finally makes him open up, asks questions and most importantly, she listens. I like to imagine that they were sat there for hours and hours as he told her pretty much everything. I say pretty much cos I'm guessing he didn't tell her he pushed the button. I bet he wanted to though, how could you not want to open up entirely for this wonderful woman.
Daleks in Manhatten

She spots the problem, and in order to fix it she has to make an arse out of herself but does it anyway. She also falls over very ungracefully. I like this a lot as it seems to acsentuate her geekiness. Her geekiness makes me love her more.
Evolution of the Daleks

Err, I struggle with this episode cos I haven't watched it a lot. But I really love this picture, mainly cos she looks like Puss In Boots from Shrek. Y/N?
The Lazarus Experiment

K. I couldn't find the exact cap, but I love the bit where she runs back in to save the Doctor. Mainly because I love seeing her run in those shoes. There's probably more to read into it as she leaves her family and risks her life for a man she met a couple of days ago, but man, the running and the shoes blow my mind.
42

She proves yet again that she is the Doctors doctor. Nuff said.
Human Nature

This scene actually broke my heart. Murray Gold played his part in this, but it was mainly down to Freema/Martha. It was a close call between this and her face when she actually sees the TARDIS which is very squeeful. Unfortunately, I am a sucker for a big emotional score. Soz.
The Family of Blood

Bones of the hand would have been obvious and I've done obvious already so I'm going for this little gem of a moment. It's just after Timmy hands John Smith the watch and he talks in Doctor speak. Look at her face. Hearing that babbling voice must have meant so much to her after going through such shit for the last two months.
Blink

Blink and you'll miss her. She was only in it for a few minutes, but this brief appearance meant that fandom can have plenty of fun speculating exactly what they got up to in 1969. And hasn't that been fun?
Utopia

This is for all the people who moan about Martha being jealous of Rose. When she finally finds out what happened to Rose, she is understanding and sympathetic. You can practically see everything clicking into place in her head.
The Sound of Drums

I have picked this picked this purely because I like seeing Martha straddle the sofa. That is all.
Last of the Timelords

So I know she walked the Earth and totally pwnd the Master but this wins hands down. It takes a strong person to 'get out' of a situation like that, and she did it with pride and dignity. She also has the Doctor at her beckon call. If I didn't love her so much, I'd probably hate her.

(I just remembered that my default icon is from Smith and Jones - and that I've had it since very early in the season, so around five months now? It might possibly be the first time I've kept a default icon for that long, and I have no inclination to change it yet.)

Date: 2007-09-24 09:15 pm (UTC)Eyebrow heresy: I kind of want to wax her brows so they don't go in quite so far. Mostly because they seem to thin out after a certain point, and it's just not a good look. But she has such a perfect face, minor acne scarring aside, that she probably needs that flaw or else the world would implode.
