As a long-time (and, as my husband would say, obsessive) US L&O fan, I can tell you that the mothership (which is the main show on which this one is based) tends to focus 99.9% on the plot of the episode. The relationships between the characters and information about their personal lives is generally doled out in the tiniest of trickles throughout the series. I can't WAIT to see the UK version of the show just cause I love it so much, but Freema makes it all the sweeter!
