Kickin' It Old Skool

My Classic Who watch is still coming on steadily. Had a wee break over Christmas but I'm back into my old routine of watching one serial a week. This week just gone I watched The Moonbase, and I made notes and EVERYTHING. Firstly I think I should link you all to this which was posted on
fandomsecrets last night. I actually had proper flaily hands at my monitor when I saw that because it was like they went into my brain and stole my secrets. Basically Jamie is fucking adorable and fab all throughout this. Best Jamie moment was probably: "It can't be the moon, that's up in the sky." Oh, Jamie, you haven't quite got the hang of this Time and Space thing yet, have you? I'm also not sure how may pipers are made of metal, but he was cute and delirious so I'll let him off that one. PLUS HE HAS MANBOOBS.
Of course, Ben and Polly are still around too. Polly's hair and make-up were just as fab as always and I'm pretty sure that's the most important thing I have to say about her. Oh, oh, oh, she wanted to save the world with nail varnish remover. WHAT A WOMAN! Ben was good too in realising that NOTHING is easy when it comes to their little adventures. He is more cleverer than people give him credit for.
Two was also... there. Oh, sorry, I failed at really noticing him. However, I did like how the recon peoples kept using crazy Two faces as their images for what seemed like every shot. Bless.
Also, the Cybers were quite good in this one, even if they did sound like a Daft Punk record when they spoke, but still quite scary. Proper scary music helped in that department, but it worked. Unfortunately I couldn't help thinking throughout it that I would quite like someone to tinker with the Earth's weather as it is so bloody miserable at the moment, so the plot probably didn't have the desired affect.
Still, The Macra Terror is up next. Have been putting this one off as the Macra were so overused in Gridlock.
