I admit that I often have Much Glee after an ep has just aired and that often dies away in the cold harsh light of the next day. This especially happens with episodes such as this, so for the time being I'm going to go with THAT WAS BLOODY BRILLIANT. OMG GALLIFREY ANGST FTW. That was officially my favourite 'There was a war' speech EVAR. David Tennant, you are absolutely wonderful, I hope you know that. And when Jenny died exactly the same as when the Master did there was just the right amount of angst, yes. AND THE GUN, HOLY SHIT. I doubted you for, like, a second, Ten, but you done good.

Other stuff that totally pwnd in this episode:
- Um, yah, Martha totally pwnd too. She was being a doctor and had the most awesome lines. If I were a Hath, I'd want to stroke her too. Hell, I want to stroke her anyway. But one thing confused me: she could understand the Hath? She knew her buddies name. Hmm, very odd. Or you know, they're really very serious about Martha = Doctor which would be crazy but brilliant. Her goodbye was pretty neat, I was very pleased with that. It was rather final though, wasn't it? This actually fuels my theory that the Martha we see in eps 12 and 13 is AU Martha, which would be awesome as well, no?
- DONNA IS SO CLEVER. Srsly, she surprises me more and more each week. *hugs her* And what was all that 'I think you're wrong' business re Gallifrey.
- Donna/Martha is practically canon now, isn't it?

Um, can't say that I got too attached to Jenny, which is good considering she came back to life and stuff. Not sure where that's going, but hey... we'll see. I actually quite like the thought of her being all wannabe-Doctor on her own. She needs a proper ship to do it in, but I'm sure she'll manage for now.

So, bye byes ma Marfa. See you (or another you) in a few weeks. Will miss you lots and lots, obviously, but I'm quite looking forward to getting back on track with Ten n Donna's epic shagfest adventures through time and space.

I'm very cheap usually, and I loved her questioning Ten and stuff but that was about it really :(

I'm already calling Jenny being back in the finale...

I didn't the goodbye with Martha meaning it wouldn't be her in the finale - after all, as far as Ten and Martha know, this is it for a while/ever. Obviously they don't want to give too much away in advance of the eps airing...

I think the finale is already too packed. I reckon maybe one of the Specials?

It's not just the goodbye that's made me think this, as I said, it's a theory I've had for a while. We've not heard anything about Martha in the finale yet, and I'm thinking that's why maybe?

OK, I will state it now, and state it clearly, that I quite liked Jenny (far more than I thought I was going to) and that this episode ROCKED. Martha was good, but actually I agree with something else you mentioned - DT. I barely took my eyes off him whenever he was onscreen - he was fantastic this week. All sexy and angsty, but brilliantly acted.

I love Doctor Who :)

Edited cause I can't type :(

It's not that I didn't like her, I just didn't fall in love with like I do most other female characters on this show.

"That was officially my favourite 'There was a war' speech EVAR."

I knoooow! 'Cause it wasn't just angsty speechifying, he actually said stuff about it and it was really interesting to hear that stuff out loud finally.

"And when Jenny died exactly the same as when the Master did"

WHOO!!!!! But less crying, which made it look almost like the pieta. I'D BEEN WANTING A PIETA BETWEEN HIM AND HIS KID AND YAY.

Everybody petting Martha! Yeah...I wanted to join them. Her nervous but gracious little face!

The goodbye did feel very final. I don't have theories, but I did get that sensation.

I didn't get hugely attached to Jenny herself, but I did like her, and I did certainly get attached to his parental attachment to her. <3 Her mission to become her father was a bit cute, I thought. She's this weird cross between insane and toddler, and I kinda like it.

I didn't not like her, yeah, just didn't get attached really. I digged their connection though, 'cos she's another Timey. Sort of. That was dead neat.

I liked Jenny...then I saw Georgia on Confidential with ginger hair. Which overshadowed her character completely because omg she looked so much hotter as a red head. Yes, I r fickle.

I went zomg~~~ when I heard the Doctor say "She's too much like me," in reference to why Jenny wasn't regenerating, because it made me think that maybe the Doctor went through more regenerations than we thought in the Time War, and instead of Tennant being Ten, he's actually Thirteen.

Which makes Eccleston's sacrifice more poignant, but makes the issue of how to continue the series without resorting to stupid plot devices even more pertinant.
