I've just been checking out the Set Reports thread on teh OG and Scooty has reported yesterday he saw Donna get knocked over by a lorry and Rose kneeling beside her on the road.

DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!111!!11!!

WTF?

Digest. Speculate. Cry maybe?

Also, that the episode they are filming right now is the 11th. So another 3-part finale then!

She's no more really dead than the Doctor is (as someone heard Donna say at the filming the other night), or than Rose was in Doomsday. Unless we get zombie!Donna for two episodes...

I can believe that with a crowded TARDIS a companion could be killed off, but I can't believe it'd be by being randomly run down rather than being killed by the villains/exterminated by the Daleks/making the ultimate sacrifice to save the world.

I was going to say RTD swore never to kill off a Companion - hence Rose's finale - but then given how often he's lied about other things, that's no damn defence at all !

Actually... I believe he only said he wouldn't kill off a companion while they were the only companion. Which could be similar reasoning as to why Adric, Katarina and Sara were killed off (in Earthshock and Dalek Master Plan there were 3 companions) but why Peri's death had to be retconned in the next story.

Did he? I don't remember - I just know I heard that he'd said he wouldn't kill off a companion what with it being a kids' show...

But given how reliable his pronouncements are, I take everything he says/has said with at least a bucket of salt these days...

Totally. I still don't want to see Donna under a truck. Even if they get the Doctor back and fix timelines and what not (my speculation as to what's happening).

It could be some sort of foreshadowing.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!

KSJFDKHSJHSKDNN SKJNSDEOJIER ASDJKLSAD !

Is all I can say to that !

I was kind of expecting it to be another 3-part finale in light of the rumour that R was in three eps and the probability of the Doctor-Lite ep being ep 11 not 10 this time around...

the unseen adventures of Young!One.

This was the kids' spinoff the BBC wanted instead of SJA. Seriously. Could happen yet...

I think that it's probably going to be a 3-part finale, more than likely having to do with the two universes overlapping/timeline screwup. I doubt that she is really dead.

No neither do I. Even if they do kill off a companion this year (which could happen IMO) it wouldn't be in the 11th episode.

*le sigh* He's just so dreamy. *sporfle* I just really want to see more of that dynamic. And you can't just give us the Simm just to take him away! That's just cruel

:( I had a feeling they weren't going to keep Donna on after this year, but lets hope this isn't how it sounds. I got the impression Catherine was staying for the entire series.

No, it could just be some big Rose/Donna bonding session where they get over their differences (which is what I'm predicting because I don't give writers the benefit of the doubt when it comes to female characters).

I seem to recall spec on OG that this is some kind of alt-reality or timeline type of thing. It would be just like Rusty to recycle something from what no doubt was a better episode. HALLO FATHER'S DAY. Hey -- just realized I'm expecting Donna to be set up as mother figure to younger companions -- so Rose gets to see BOTH parents get run down. Oh, yay.

Hmm, maybe it's the Donna in Rose's dimension? In which case the Donna in the Doctor's dimension will be very freaked out if she finds out. Will be fun watching the Doctor try to explain it to her without tripping over himself while she chases him around the console yelling at him, because it is his fault somehow. ;)

You should be on my flist, btw! *friends*

This sounds more and more like that Farscape episode where all of the characters die a horrible death one after another... at least I hope that's it
