magicallawI've just re-watched Walk The Line and nnnggghh; I have much love for that film.
So, I've always liked Johnny Cash. I've always been aware of his songs and known some of them. Then I saw this film a few months ago and he totally Ate My Brain. I had goosebumps for half the time I was watching this. The other half, I was too busy singing and clapping along.
I plan on reading his book when I'm on holiday but I'm scared it might be a tad too depressing for a holiday read. At least with the film, the music sort of helps you get over the depressing stuff. Hey, I said sort of.
John/June is also lots of win, but tbh, it's ALL ABOUT JOHN. The voice, the look, the EVERYTHING.
Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon are truly, truly fantastic. Their voices are uncanny in likeness to the real thing. This film makes me want to be June Carter very much. The hair, the voice (again), those dresses. Wow, definitely have a girly crush going on there.
Well, I'd like to be her without having to deal with the having to deal with a drug taking arsehole. But, hey, it worked out all right in the end.
I'm now going to lie in the bath and sing Jackson at the top of my voice to annoy my neighbours.
