I have decided that Gollum! and Tinkerbell! are mostly attempts to piss off fandom, and thus I have decided to be contrary and not actively hate them. As cracked out versions of a fevered dream (which is what I think they are), they're quite entertaining.
Martha's exit took me so completely by surprise the first time that I didn't really notice all the subtle nuances layered in it. Once I got past that, there's just so much to see and appreciate in it - Ten's desperate attempt at just moving on from the end of the world, Martha standing up for herself, Ten's quiet look of devastation as he hugs her goodbye, but not letting her see it because he doesn't do emotions like that, Martha throwing him the phone and his smile of relief as he realises that she's coming back some time in the future... I think it's one of my favourite scenes now.
