Awesome picspam! My favourite scene ever, too. But you know what is weird - in a recent interview in The Telegraph (online extended version - check it out) RTD denies any 'gay agenda' with the show. Well that may be so generally speaking, and quite possibly from the Doctor's POV but that particular scene just speaks for itself and much as I love RTD for what he's done for Dr Who (brought it back to life, essentially!)and unless I've seriously misunderstood what he's saying, it feels like a slap in the face to write such a wonderful, brilliantly-played scene and then turn around and complain that fans online see anything gay .... I mean, it was totally out of left field, that scene, wasn't it?! Totally brilliant and I have to say my jaw dropped about a mile in shock the first time I saw it as I hadn't considered that angle at all. One wonders what the actors made of it at the time - well, I think its pretty obvious what they made of it, lol! Would have loved to be a fly on the wall at rehearsals... I read somewhere that when each was filming their scene, the other was really on the phone saying their lines... Interesting that there are very few interviews discussing it, I would imagine because it is a family show and they don't want to ram it down people's throats...? But as someone further up comments, how anyone can NOT see it is beyond me, too. Wonderfully put-together picspam, makes me want to watch the episode again!! Thank you.
